Out of hundreds of partners, OCSL has been chosen as HPE’s first EMEA partner for their game-changing pilot programme. The pilot is set to drive world-wide cloud services growth and test reward scenarios for partners.

The pilot perfectly aligns with OCSL’s plans to accelerate the growth of their own managed and cloud services. With both cloud and legacy expertise plus ongoing investment in secure hybrid cloud services, OCSL is perfectly placed to help customers develop their cloud- first strategies.

This year alone, OCSL has successfully closed major new business deals in this area with a leading UK “Big 3” management consultancy and with Orion Health, a global healthcare platform.

Iain Mobberley, Technology Director for OCSL, said, “The pilot programme is sure to accelerate OCSL’s cloud services growth further. We’re aiming to double our services growth from approximately 35 percent of sales to 70 percent of sales over the next few years. The idea that HPE is trying to work out how they can support a partner like us in the UK and globally is really exciting. There is a lot of work to do, but we can already see what this market trial is going to deliver for us and HPE in the future.”

He continued, “HPE's decision to focus squarely on managed/virtual private cloud and to designate Microsoft Azure as a preferred public cloud provider plays strongly into the tight relationship OCSL has with both vendors. We are extremely aligned to HPE and Microsoft"

Referencing the shift towards the consumption model for IT services, HPE Senior Vice President, Worldwide Indirect Sales Kerry Bailey, recently tweeted in connection with the pilot, “Business models are in rapid change and don’t evolve alone - they evolve together with strong partners”. @kbailey

OCSL’s relationship with HPE spans more than 20 years and were the first UK HP Platinum Partner. The relationship was cemented further with the launch of OCSL’s hugely popular Azure Pod at HPE Discover last December. The OCSL's Azure Pod uses familiar public cloud services, such as Office 365 and integrates with private cloud services in one secure environment. OCSL is also a Gold Partner for Microsoft, and were singled out as UK Country Partner of the Year.
