OCSL and Luton & Dunstable University Hospital NHS Foundation Hospital Trust have been named jointly as a finalist in the UK IT Industry Awards 2016. Joining a select group of nominees in the Cloud Innovation Provider of the Year category, this recognises innovative use of cloud technology in the Public Sector.

By adopting a hybrid cloud approach, including OCSL’s CloudRoute and CloudControl Portal, the IT team at Luton & Dunstable Hospital have reduced data storage costs when compared to other commercial hosting options, transformed working practices and increased clinical system uptime.

The Cloud Innovation Provider of the Year recognises a product or service that has delivered measurable benefit to end users in either a single, large organisation or a variety of organisations through any mix of private or public cloud offerings.

Paul Fletcher, Group Chief Executive Officer of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, said: “Congratulations to all the finalists in the 2016 UK IT Industry Awards - their talents should be truly celebrated. BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, is here to make IT good for society and the Awards are a major part of this.
